First Lolita.. bad pictures XD
EDIT: For now, I decided to delete the entries I did for this entry on the communities. Too many comments about the blouse when I already said I accidently ordered it too small. D: And I realize I need to take better pictures of the outfit, that's why I said it was a sucky photoshoot. Thank you for the comments though ♥ A few gave me a push in the right direction (^^)b

EDIT #2: Okay. After much thinking.. much, much thinking, I'm pulling out of wearing the Lolita fashion for now. For two reasons really:
1) I love cute and frilly things.. just not truly 100% on me (right now). (Though I honestly like how it looks)
2) I don't like how the fashoin has so many rules. I'm so use to just throwing on some jeans and a shirt and going out the door! Not worrying about my hair being done or my outfit being fully coordinated.

I don't know what people are going to think or say about this decision, and I honestly don't care. I'm still going to be on a few Lolita communities since i still love the fashion, but I don't think I'll be posting on them anymore unless I draw something Lolita. Thank you for those who supported me in getting my first Lolita and all ♥ I really appriciated it.

Okay, so 2 days ago I received the last two items for my Lolita outfit~ I was so psyched! (Though the person who delivers my mail is lazy! She didn’t even knock!! (Though she claimed she did *rolls eyes*) That reason being why I had to get up really early to get the package before the guy left the office. (I just stayed up all night watching Hellraiser movies XD) *cough* Either way, After we got back from the post office I jumped into bed and got a few hours of sleep.. then I got up and dressed up. ♥ I was so happy with how it all felt! (Except the top.. I accidently had them make it a few inches too small.. so I had to get a body cruncher ^^;) I felt like my whole being changed. It was awesome!!! (Though to be honest, I’m not 100% sure if I’m going to get a ton of Lolita in the future, or just an outfit now and again.) Either way, after waiting for my sister to finally get off her computer and take some pictures (haha), we had no luck! Almost all my pictures came out bad (either because of angles or lighting).

NOTE: I know not many people are going to like those shoes with the outfit.. But they’re the best I have right now for it, so please ignore them if possible.

Your outfit looks very nice, but I wish we could see more of it in just a static pose so we can see how the entire coordinate works together, it just seems a shame to me that I can see more of your BJD's outfit than yours ^_^

bah, sorry I didn't get to finish writing what I wanted to say.
I totally agree with you in the fact that it is a difficult change to suddenly wear lolita because all the effort you have to put in it. Honestly I don't think you look bad at all!

But anyway, I've had similar thoughts with the lolita fashion, that I just wanted to give up on it because I get so stressed from the criticism I've received in the past. Funny thing is I still wear it every day of the week, but I guess thats because since I went to Japan I felt like they were more out to have fun with the fashion rather than sit there and be the perfect gothic and lolita bible model. I would much rather have fun with it and wear it every day without the hassle of people on the internet telling me I did something wrong than try to be perfect on communities for other people... Thats why I rarely ever post on communities.

On the same token, I can understand its a fashion that people try very hard to be specific otherwise random people would walk all over the community calling something lolita that has absolutely nothing to do with the fashion (ie- some sort of erotic maid costume). I think a lot of that comes from cosplay too. So many people derived into lolita through other things such as music and anime and since cosplay came first a lot of people started cosplaying in lolita, while the real lolitas wear it not as costume, but as their own wardrobe. But thats besides the point. XD

I guess what I'm saying is I understand where you come from in feeling like you want to pull out. I don't feel that way anymore because I'm more confident in how I wear my lolita and what I wear, and I've learned you can't really blame the clothes for what the people say about you wearing it. You took the time and money out to buy such expensive clothes that I think you deserve to be applauded for it, and really its not that bad looking on you at all!(^^) There are many lolitas out there who will throw some clothes together that they bought at Target, and while it may be cute and classy looking, I don't think American stores can quite withhold the standards of what lolita really is. I'm sure the "non brand whores" would hate me for this, but I think the best way to even make a real lolita outfit is by purchasing an outfit from one of the brand name shops or making your own lolita provided you are sewing it properly and using the right materials.

Being American and wearing lolita is such a difficult thing to pull off, and as someone who is wearing it for real for one of your first tries you really didn't do bad.(^^)
Personally, I think you should keep trying because I think you have potential to get it down perfect, but if its something you really want to pull out of due to all the pressures of being a lolita, its totally understandable. Just don't let other people's criticism get to you too much. Its such a waste to worry about what other people think about your style when you can look at it yourself and decide what you would like to change or improve upon.(^^)
You know, if you're uncomfortable with such a "perfected" wardrobe you could always try for casual lolita. ;D I've never tried casual loli myself, but it seems like something that you don't have to worry so much about putting such a tremendous amount of effort in.

Anyway, those are just my thoughts. I hope I didn't offend you or anything.(^^)v I just feel like I can relate to what you're going through, but you shouldn't give up unless actually wearing it just makes you feel completely miserable. ♥

But nah, it has nothing to truly do with others have said. (To be honest, I would propbably just flip them off and laugh if someone truly critisized me). I'm pulling out because despite what I said before, the hype of having my outfit on wore out fast and the magic was gone (not too long after I posted this entry). I think I was just trying the fashion out because I love it so much. So even though I still love the fashion (and most things frilly and cute), I dont' think it's suited for me. I might get back into trying it someday though (^^)/ Proably attempt Punk or Aristocrate though. (Gahh I can't wait to attempt making my own clothes ♥ Still trying to find a community where people make punk, 'goth', cyber, and aristocrat clothes and posts about them (Like EGL or Daily_Lolita), but all I can find are communities with a bunch of sellers posting about their sales D': (Sorry for the extra 'blah'.. and sorry if there's spelling errors.. I'm off tonight..)

Well thats good as long as its not the influence of what other people say, because I know they can be very critical and it irritates the hell out of me. I just wish they would look past tiny imperfections sometimes and look at the bigger picture, but thats just my own complaint. I totally respect your decision if you feel like it doesn't suit you. Lolita is definitely something thats not for everyone. XD

Punk and Aristocrat would be really nice to try to pull off some time! :D
Its really sad that theres so little information when it comes to those styles though. I absolutely love them to death! I've been wanting to expant my own EGA collection for the longest time, but unfortunately everything thats put out is very few and far between. None the less you can be so much more creative with punk and aristocrat styles and I love that about it.(^^)

Good luck with all of that though!! I know you'll find the right thing for you~(^^)
